PHYSICAL SECURITY ASSESSMENT

The physical assessment criteria are broken into two main sections: 1) a review of existing physical security documentation; and 2) an evaluation and assessment of the vulnerabilities of a physical building and/or the curtilage or surrounding areas of the facility. A vulnerability is any area that should be considered for improvement that can be exploited by an aggressor. Our recommendations consider the best practice standards for safeguarding against physical vulnerabilities for exterior and interior spaces, as well as environmental design.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH/SCHOOL CLIMATE

ASSESSMENT

The behavioral health/school climate assessment is an analysis of a school entity’s climate including the availability of Student Assistance Programs and behavioral health professionals to provide assistance to the school entities. Best practice standards are utilized to to evaluate and make recommendations regarding behavioral health support and school climate.

REVIEW OF CURRENT SECURITY/SAFETY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Security policies and procedures serve as the blueprints and guidelines by which the organization can prevent, mitigate and respond to security incidents. We make sure entities are compliant with relevant statutory requirements relating to safety and security policies, as well as ensure that they have relevant criteria-related polices in place regarding physical security best practices.

REVIEW AND UPDATE CURRENT CRISIS RESPONSE PLANS

For many organizations, the all-hazards emergency operations plan will contain the entirety of their safety and security plan, as well as their crisis response and mitigation plan; however, some organizations may not have a plan in place or may have limited safety and security plans that must be reviewed and analyzed by an assessor.

CRIME PREVENTION THROUGH ENVIORNMENTAL DESIGN ASSESSMENTS

This assessment includes a systematic physical examination of the exterior and the interior premises of the facility, the perimeter, parking lots and contiguous areas. A full inspection of operational systems and interviews with key stakeholders, to collect valuable information on safety and security is conducted as part of this assessment. This assessment is predicated upon the layers of protection principles of physical security methodologies.

FACILITATE TRAINING

Your employees will be the first responders and will need to respond properly to increase survivability. We can provide facilitated training to prepare your entire organization for environmental, technological, and man-made hazards. We incorporate practical exercises into our training that helps build proper muscle memory necessary for high stress incidents. We offer train-the-trainer or classes for your entire organization at a fraction of the cost!

BEHAVIORAL THREAT ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT

Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) is the systematic process of investigating and assessing concerning behaviors. The primary goal of BTAM is to evaluate the difference between making a threat and posing a threat to an organization or community and then to build a management plan that supports the safety of the entire organization or community.

Preventing acts of violence is the responsibility of the entire community and many community agencies and partners play an important role. Our BTAM Training provides an investigative protocol, a framework for assessment and guidelines for effective management. Ask us about facilitating an assessment or conducting training.

REVIEW SRO, SPO & SCHOOL SECURITY PROGRAMS

We will conduct a review of your school resource officer (SRO), school police officer (SPO) , and/or school security guard services. We review personnel policies, MOUs, contracts, and training related to SRO, SPO and School Security programs. We can also assist Districts wishing to set up a model agency program or to have their officers trained appropriately.

GRANT WRITING

We provide grant writing services related to school safety and security. Our services will help you compete for private and government grant money. We are a small company, not a large corporation. That means we will give you the personal attention you deserve. You are our most important client.
